Verizon Scabs: You Can Run but You Can't Hide

Direct Action by 1101 members get scabs kicked out of hotels all over town. Verizon strikebreakers in NYC just can't catch a break.  Every time management thinks they found a place to hide, direct action by CWA Local 1101 strikers gets them tossed out like garbage. Roving pickets have gotten Verizon kicked out of more than a dozen hotels in Manhattan.

Frequently Asked Questions About a Strike

Updated April 21, 2016. 1. How often is picket duty? Every member is required to perform picket duty every day for the first 14 days of a strike. You should report to your regular work location and your Chief Steward will let you know if you are staying there for the day, or assigned to mobile picketing or a Verizon Wireless store.  Every member should report for picket duty every day through April 30. Beginning the week of May 1, picket duty will be 5 days a week. We are doing a great job putting pressure on the company and we can’t let up. Your Chief Steward will let you know your picket duty assignment.

Thursday Strike Action: March Across the Brooklyn Bridge

Thursday, April 14: Thursday during the day : Picketing at work locations and wireless stores. Thursday at 3pm: We'll meet at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, outside the 4/5/6 Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall subway stop. We'll march across the bridge and meet up with our brothers and sisters from CWA Local 1109 in Brooklyn, then march together to the Clinton/Sanders debate. Tons of national media will be there.
