Workers at Cables & Chips Vote to Join CWA Local 1101

Technicians at Cables and Chips, a Manhattan based cabling and network installation company voted on June 4 to join CWA Local 1101. The workers endured a three month long vicious anti-union campaign by the employer, who held on-going one-on-ones and captive audience meetings to try to intimidate the workers against voting for the union.

College Scholarship Deadlines are Approaching: April 30, May 15 and May 31

Fifteen partial college scholarships of $3,000 each are being offered by the CWA Joe Beirne Foundation Scholarship Program  for the 2014-2015 school year. Winners, selected in a lottery drawing, also will receive second-year scholarships of the same amount contingent upon satisfactory academic accomplishment.
