August 10, 2018. The Union Bargaining committee met with the Production Companies multiple times this week. We are slowly making progress on some issues, but we remain far apart on a financial package . The Companies do not place enough value on your work, however we will keep fighting until they do.

Four Year Contract Extension Reached at Verizon! Voting to Begin Soon

After CWA's victory in the 2016 strike, we saw a marked improvement in the union's relationship with Verizon management. An attitude of problem-solving replaced an attitude of conflict. The company committed to hiring workers to remove double-poles. A more cooperative relationship developed in the areas of legislation and regulation.

FCC set to vote on dangerous, anti-union one touch, make ready proposal

Speed Matters.org. The FCC is scheduled to vote on a "One Touch, Make Ready" (OTMR) proposal that endangers workers and could send CWA members' work -- done by skilled employees who know the equipment and have extensive training -- to unskilled, untrained, low-wage contractors.

Four Year Contract Extension Reached for Verizon Wireless Technicians!

CWA is pleased to announce that we have reached a Tentative Agreement on a four year extension of the current contract for Verizon Wireless Technicians, which was set to expire in August of 2019. This contract extension, outlined below, preserves all of the protections of the 2016 contract and includes improved language regarding transfers by seniority, as well as wage increases.
