AT&T Wireless Workers Try To Bring Political Pressure To End Contract Stalemate

As a contract standoff between AT&T and 21,000 unionized workers in its mobile business drags into a eighth month, the employees are trying to increase political pressure on the carrier.So far, 255 state and local politicians have sent letters to AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson backing the workers, the Communications Workers of America union says.

Verizon 4Q17 Surplus Declaration & Special Enhanced Income Protection Plan (EIPP)

Verizon is declaring a surplus condition in 24 titles in Force Adjustment Areas 1-6. In addition the company is declaring a surplus of Central Office Technicians and Representatives in the Manhattan Article 8 Units. This surplus is due to process change and the provisions of the respective FAP Articles 8(b) and 10 will not apply in this case.

Donation Drives for Families in Puerto Rico & Mexico

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz is sponsoring a Donation Drive for Puerto Rico and Mexico. On Saturday, September 30, 2017, the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization will host a donation drive to help the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the earthquake in Mexico City. The drive will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the corner of Southern Boulevard and Aldus Street.
