Scholarship Deadlines Approaching

CWA Joe Beirne Foundation Scholarship - Due April 30

The CWA Joe Beirne Foundation will award sixteen partial college scholarships of $4,000 for the 2019-2020 school year, and another $4,000 for the 2020-2021 school year.

Eligible for the scholarships are CWA members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren, including the dependents of retired, laid-off, or deceased members. Applications will be available solely online for submission on the Foundation’s website here. Winners will be chosen in a lottery drawing.

Applications are due April 30, 2019.


Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council Scholarships - Due April 13

The Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council will offer eight scholarships of $1000 each. Members of local unions affiliated with the Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council and their dependents are eligible to apply. CWA Local 1101 is an affiliate of the Bergen County Central Trades & Labor Council, and all members of CWA Local 1101 are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

LOCAL 1101 SCHOLARSHIPS - Due May 31

CWA Local 1101 has a long-standing and proud tradition of awarding scholarships each year to members and their families. The CWA Local 1101 Scholarship is a $1000 award. The number of scholarships awarded each year is determined by the Executive Board based on funds available. The Ed Dempsey Scholarship provides one winner with an award of a one-time payment of $5000.

Nettworth Financial Group Scholarship - Due May 31

The NettWorth Financial Group Donna Castleberry Scholarship Fund awards college scholarships to dependents of union members across the country.
 
Since 2001, more than $220,000 has been donated to fund the education of dozens of promising young men and women.
