Honoring and Remembering the Heroes of September 11, 2001

Many CWA members played a critical role in the aftermath of September 11 – telecom workers who worked at Ground Zero to restore communications throughout lower Manhattan, health workers who tended to the injured, and public safety members who worked to keep the public safe in the aftermath.

Today we honor the memory of our brothers and sisters who lost their lives on September 11 and in the years since.  We stand with the many telecom workers, public sector workers, nurses, and NABET-CWA news crews who are ill or facing life-threatening health problems as a result of their work during and after September 11th.  We will never forget the sacrifices you made.
