Welcoming Our New Local 1101 members in Menands, NY

Sheila Burke is the Chief Steward for the accounting department in Menands, near Albany. She works in the Remittance Processing Center where Verizon bills are processed. Sheila and her co-workers were originally part of Local 1113, then became Local 1105. She’s been at Verizon for 49 years. “Years ago there were 2000 members in accounting. Technology changes, attrition…we’re down to 54 people in the department now. I’ve been here a long time. I want to make sure our people are in good hands. I’m so looking forward to being part of 1101.”  

Sheila wanted to introduce a few of the other new Local 1101 members who work in accounting, all of whom are CWA veterans of Locals 1105 and 1113.

Bill Moak is a steward in Local 1101, and the former President of CWA 1113. 

John Robinson is a current member CWA 1101, and a past Vice President of Council A - CWA 1113 and CWA 1105.

Rob Ducharme is a current CWA1101 member, formerly a member of Locals 1105 and 1113, pictured here with his daughter.

Maryann Chiera is Steward in Local 1101 Payment Investigations. She was a Representative and Legislative Comittee member in Local 1113.

Below: Mick DellaValle and John Boudrea. Mick was an Local 1113 Executive Board member, Safety Rep and Legislative Rep. He retired from Local 1113 but is active as a retiree.  John Boudreau a current member of Local 1101.
