RIP Richard Stewart-Johnson

Update: Richard Stewart-Johnson's Service will be Tuesday, April 7 at 11am and can be viewed online here.  The service will begin promptly at 11am and will be as an hour long service. Please share this link with anyone wanting to view the live funeral service. The family will also hold a tribute balloon release at 130pm on Tues April 7th. Richie's favorite color was black. Richard Stewart-Johnson was a Parking Production Assistant and a member of CWA Local 1101. He passed away from COVID-19 on March 27, 2020. Richard was also an actor and a musician.

He started in the business in 1989 on the feature film “The Prince of Tides” starring Barbra Streisand. Richard was born in Brooklyn, NY and was raised in Jamaica Queens. He graduated from John Adams/Annex HS in 1979.

• He held the position of PPA under the Parking Coordinator Tom Tumminello from 1989 to 1991

• He joined his Brother Parking Coordinator Jon Johnson Sr in 1991 and worked with him until his untimely death on March 27th, 2020.  He held the Title of PPA Supervisor

• Richard starred in the Low Budget Film “Crackdown Big City Blues” shot in 1987 released in 2018, he played the lead role of “Harpo”

• Musician – Professional Drummer from 1981 to 2020. Richard played in various bands from Punk Rock, Funk, to Blues

• Richard worked various jobs before settling into the world of Film Movie and Television.  His list of projects over his 31 years is vast and long.

Richard leaves behind His Mother Helen L. Stewart (Ohio), 2 Daughters; LaToya Watson (Evans GA) and Christina Johnson (Brooklyn NY), Brothers; Jon Johnson Sr (Elmont NY), Dirk Jones (Dayton OH, Gent (Darren) Jones (Dayton OH),  Sisters; Katrena Jones-Smith (Dayton OH), Gisele Jones (Dayton OH), Belinda Jones-Brown (Dayton OH),  Claretta Cox (Rosedale NY), 2 Grandchildren; Tia LeAnn McCord (Evans, GA)  and Terrence E. McCord (Evans, GA), the Love of his Life Cheree Jackson (Queens NY), Host of Nephews, Nieces, and Cousins, and many Band Members especially his Best Friend Debbie Knapper.
