7000 Nurses are on strike at Mt Sinai and Montefiore Hospitals!

The New York State Nurses Association announced this morning that no tentative agreements were reached at Montefiore Bronx or Mount Sinai Hospital last night, and 7,000 nurses at those locations are ON STRIKE. Chronic and severe understaffing is a major issue for the nurses, as well as years of substandard wages.

If you know someone who's a nurse, please share this information with them. The New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) is asking all nurses not to pick up shifts, crossing the picket line, at Montefiore Bronx or Mount Sinai Hospital main (Madison Ave & 100 St).

We'll be doing all we can to support our union siblings on the picket lines this week and for as long as the strike lasts. Solidarity!
