CWA 1101 Executive Board on Ratification Results

Brothers and Sisters, 

The results from across District 1 are in, and the extension is ratified. While the overall outcome was not what we hoped for, we’re incredibly proud of the tremendous level of participation and engagement by Local 1101 members. 

You showed up, you engaged, and you made your voices heard. 90% of Local 1101 members voted and overwhelmingly voted to reject the extension. We sent a clear message to Verizon that we’re willing to fight for the issues that matter the most to us - retirement security, affordable healthcare, tier inequities, job protection, and the future of our work. 

However you voted, we know every member of this Local is committed to stand with the Union and fight for our future. The message we sent doesn’t end with this vote. It impacts what comes next - how this agreement is implemented, how future negotiations are approached, and how our concerns are addressed moving forward. 

We want to thank every member who took the time to attend the meetings, talk with your co-workers, evaluate the issues, and vote. The trust and commitment you demonstrated is what makes us the strong fighting Local we are. We’re so incredibly proud of our membership today. 

Now we move forward together. We stay united. We stay engaged. And we continue to fight for the issues that matter to us all.
