Honoring the Lives of Those We Lost

September 11, 2001 is seared in our memories.  So many of our members were working downtown on 9/11, and the horrors of that day will stay with us forever. Today we remember and honor the members and retirees we lost to 9/11 related illnesses and we stand with the members and retirees who are battling 9/11 illnesses today.

In 2021, on the 20 year anniversary, we interviewed CWA Local 1101 members about their 9/11 experiences. You can watch that amazing video here. Thank you to everyone who participated and reminded us of the sacrifices made and tremendous work by our members in the months that followed.

As we mark 23 years since the September 11th attacks, please take a moment of silence and reflection to remember those who died on that day and to keep their families and loved ones in your thoughts.
