RIP Bill Gross
With heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Gross III, CWA Local 1101 Chief Steward and CWA downstate Health Care Coordinator, passed away on March 3, 2025.
Bill worked as a Repairman/Installer, was a tester in the 79th St Repair Service Bureau in the 1980’s and Chief Steward at 5030 Broadway. He was a quiet, caring man BUT watch out when it came to defending 1101 members, he was tough and unrelenting. Bill later became a liaison between CWA members in the downstate region as the Healthcare Coordinator. Bill assisted countless members and their families resolve health care issues, helping make things easier in difficult times.
Our Union lost a great man. Rest in peace Brother.
