Sanky Communications Workers Ratify First Contract

Workers at Sanky Communications Inc overwhelmingly ratified their first contract with a 92% approval vote. Sanky workers joined CWA Local 1101 in May of 2025. They work remotely across the country, helping non-profits build and expand their fundraising programs through direct mail appeals, paid media fundraising, and digital media development. Sanky members faced multiple challenges while unionizing, including lay-offs mid-bargaining, but they stayed united, mobilized continuously to push bargaining forward and won a solid first contract.
“Having a ratified contract feels like a breath of fresh air,” said Kiddest Sinke, Project Manager. “I am so happy to have more workplace protections and benefits, including just cause, guaranteed wage increases, improved parental leave, codified summer Fridays, more sick days, a work from home stipend that includes internet expenses, and a Labor Management Committee that will ensure our concerns are heard by leadership. I am so proud of what our membership has accomplished!”
“It was a hard-won fight,” said Kate Greenhouse, Senior Copywriter. “I’m really happy we now have a clear channel for communication between the Union and management. I hope the Labor Management Committee will create a space where both sides can come to a better mutual understanding of what each group needs to make the company run more smoothly. All in all, I’m excited to keep fighting for what our colleagues need to work and live well — now with the full heft of a ratified CBA behind us!”
The CWA Local 1101 Bargaining Team included Vice President Bill Stefandel, Business Agents Frank Calisi and Keith Hogarty, Lead Organizer Pam Galpern, Sanky workers Kate Greenhouse and Kiddest Sinke.
Congratulations and welcome to CWA Local 1101!
