Stand Up for Workers Rights May 1

We're seeing an unprecedented attack on workers rights and our unions.

In the last month we've seen:

10,000 jobs cut at Health & Human Service, resulting in more than 870 jobs eliminated at the World Trade Center Health Program, a vital program for many of our members.

Cuts to Veterans Administration that are projected to eliminate 80,000 health care jobs serving veterans.

Nearly 1 million federal workers stripped of their collective bargaining rights when their union contracts were 'cancelled' by the Administration.

Tens of thousands of federal workers laid off from agencies providing essential services to working people.

The illegal firing of a National Labor Relations Board member, leaving the NLRB without a quorum to protect workers against employers' anti-union retaliation.

Impending Medicaid cuts that threaten almost 50,000 healthcare worker jobs and 7 million people’s health insurance.

On May 1 unions and community groups across NYC are joining together to Stand Up and Fight Back against an agenda that works for billionaires, at our expense!

Join CWA on Thursday May 1st at 5pm at Foley Square, lower Manhattan.

RSVP and let us know you're coming!
