VZ Back-up Care Plan for Child/Elder Care
Verizon announced the next phase of the backup care program which took effect May 16, 2020.
"We are continuing the emergency in-home reimbursement arrangement (up to $100 per work day) that was set up as part of the COVID-19 response with some administrative changes noted below that will allow for inclusion of the reimbursement in your paycheck. You will continue to be able to use your own personal network/caregiver of choice and request reimbursement directly through Verizon".
The administration of the out-of-network back up care ($15/hour, up to $100 daily) is moving from Bright Horizons to Verizon. Verizon will make approved reimbursements every two weeks via regular payroll.
To access the reimbursement form you must be at a Verizon computer. Go to the Verizon COVID-19 Resource page. Information for employees>My pay and benefits>scroll down to "Backup Care Reimbursement Program", click on the Backup Care Reimbursement Policy to open it, and click on the Reimbursement form in the document.
