CWA Verizon Bargaining Update

As you already know, CWA IBEW and Verizon began meeting for a three week period to attempt to negotiate the terms of a possible extension to the collective bargaining agreements that are set to expire in August 2023. We have agreed with the Company to continue meeting for the rest of this week and if necessary, to extend the negotiations into next week.

As the NYS legislative session closed, the NYS Assembly voted unanimously to pass our bill to protect our jobs and stop dangerous One Touch Make Ready regulations!

CWA/AT&T Mobility Orange Bargaining Update #24

As we inch closer to a deal, wages remain a sticking point. We have agreements on many very good improvements for every group in the Orange Contract, but the Company still needs to reach into their pockets to secure fair raises. AT&T has been making record profits, paying executives millions of dollars and paying dividends to their shareholders. It is time they also take care of their employees.

Verizon Work at Home Extension

As you know, CWA and IBEW have been negotiating with Verizon since May 16, 2022 to determine whether it’s possible to agree on the terms of a contract extension. The current Covid-19 work at home renewal expires on Saturday, June 4, 2022. We have mutually decided it is everyone’s best interest to extend the work at home arrangements as the contract extension discussions continue.
