Happy Thanksgiving CWA Local 1101

I'd like to wish all of our members a Happy Thanksgiving on behalf of the entire Executive Board of CWA Local 1101.

It's been a tough year for everyone.  We lost five beloved members of our Local to COVID-19. So many of our members have lost family members and friends to the virus. We've had to forgo family celebrations, social events, work and community gatherings, and so much more. We have members who have worked through the entire pandemic in difficult circumstances, and members who have been laid off or furloughed. We have members who have been sick themselves, and others caring for family members and friends.

It has been challenging and I commend all of you for your resilience. It's not the Thanksgiving we are used to, but I hope we can hold front and center the things - the people - we are grateful for. I am forever grateful to be part of such a strong union.

I hope you all have a safe and healthy Thanksgiving.
