Help keep CWA E-ZPass jobs in New York

Nearly 300 E-ZPass customer service call center workers, members of CWA Local 1102, are fighting to keep their jobs on Staten Island. The New York State contract to provide E-ZPass customer support for the MTA is open for bid, and we need your help ensuring that the MTA retains the current workforce in these good-paying jobs on Staten Island! Bids are due August 7th, so we need to move fast to ensure that these jobs are protected.

CWA Supports July 20 Day of Action Demanding Justice for Black Lives

CWA Stands in solidarity with the tens of thousands of workers in 25 cities who marched, protested, and in some cases went on strike today to highlight racial and economic equality. "The National Strike/Day of Action is a worker-driven action to demand that bosses and elected officials address the systemic racism that drives economic inequality in this country. We are demanding guaranteed sick pay, affordable health care, strengthened health and safety protections for essential workers, and stronger organizing rights for all workers."

CWA Members to Spotlight AT&T’s Pattern of Discriminatory Behavior in Memphis Protest

Memphis, Tenn. -- AT&T workers and other members of the Communications Workers of America (CWA) union will hold a socially distanced protest as part of the national Strike for Black Lives Monday afternoon outside an AT&T Mobility Call Center in Memphis, Tenn. The AT&T call center workers will be joined by their colleagues from the AT&T Mobility warehouse and retail stores in Memphis, along with other local union members and community groups.

A Message to PPAs from CWA Local 1101

As many of you are aware, some members of the Motion Picture Industry have formed the Working in Silence No More Task Force. One of the goals of the task force is to highlight the inequality and injustices the PPAs face on the job. The Union has been in touch and engaged with the task force and agree with their message. We also welcome any support within the industry to improve the working conditions of the PPAs. With that being said, we would also like to highlight the progress the PPAs have fought so hard for, and achieved, through organizing and joining CWA.
