Warren Introduces Essential Workers Bill of Rights

United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and Representative Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) unveiled a proposal this week for an Essential Workers Bill of Rights to protect and compensate frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic and called for the next coronavirus relief package to include these policies.

CWA District One is mourning the loss of our great friend and ally, former Assemblymember Richard Brodsky, who died suddenly on Wednesday morning, apparently from complications of the Covid-19.

Dear members, It is with a heavy heart that I write to you to commemorate two CWA Local 1101 members who we lost to COVID-19 this week. Sonny Aravena was a splicer out of Exterior Street, and Richard Stewart-Johnson was a Parking Production Assistant.
